Can appendicitis be self-tested?

Appendicitis can not be diagnosed by self-testing, usually through the symptoms to determine whether it is appendicitis, the specific need to go to the hospital for examination to confirm the diagnosis.
Appendicitis can occur at any age, usually young children show frequent crying, fever, reluctance to eat and other conditions. In addition, they may avoid being touched by others because of the pain in their abdomen.
Adults mainly show metastatic right lower abdominal pain, which is the most typical clinical manifestation of appendicitis patients, i.e., abdominal pain starts from the epigastric abdomen and gradually shifts to the right lower abdomen; systemic symptoms, such as chills, malaise, high fever, etc.; digestive symptoms, such as diarrhea and discomfort during defecation.
It should be noted that when the above symptoms occur, they should not be diagnosed on their own, but should go to the outpatient clinic or emergency clinic of the hospital in a timely manner, so as to make a clear diagnosis through further examination. Especially for the elderly, if the condition is delayed due to self-diagnosis, serious conditions such as periappendiceal abscess, perforation and gangrene may be formed.
