1. The earliest manifestations of acute intoxication are usually behavioral and psychophysiological symptoms: loss of appetite, tremors and restlessness and hyperactivity. This is followed by nausea, vomiting, anxiety, agitation, tachycardia, sleep disturbances, and myocardial tremor. Delirium, seizures, and supraventricular or ventricular arrhythmias occur in severe intoxication. Hypokalemia, hyperglycemia or hypotension may occur. Hypotension is characterized by low diastolic blood pressure and wide pulse pressure.2. Long-term high dose intake can cause nervousness, irritability, tremor, muscle twitching, insomnia, palpitations and hyperreflexia.3. Workers exposed to coffee dust can develop allergic reactions such as dermatitis, rhinitis and bronchial asthma.4. Women who take large amounts of caffeine daily are prone to infertility.5. Severe agitation. Hyperventilation, tachycardia and increased blood pressure, rhabdomyolysis with acute renal failure.
