The survival time of patients with intestinal adenocarcinoma is related to the stage of tumor and the review treatment of the patient. Intestinal adenocarcinoma is the most common pathological type of intestinal cancer, early stage patients, especially if the cancer is only confined to the intestinal mucosa and there is no local lymph node metastasis, most of the patients can live beyond five years after surgical resection, a few of them may recur, but most of them will not recur and are completely cured. For early stage patients with local lymph node metastasis but no distant metastasis, more than half of the patients can survive for five years or more after surgical treatment with a combination of radiotherapy, chemotherapy or targeted therapy. For advanced patients with distant metastases, as long as they can actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment and have regular review as prescribed, they can also have a better survival period, and a small number of patients can even survive for five years or more. The patient’s regular treatment is also related to the survival period. If the patient complies well and returns to the hospital for treatment or review on time as recommended by the doctor, the treatment effect is good, and some patients can survive for several years even in the advanced stage. Even if early stage patients do not follow the medical advice for regular review and treatment after surgery, they may eventually relapse, resulting in death within a few months when they could have survived for more than five years.
