Can hematomas be treated?

Hemangiomas can be treated. Small hemangiomas can be eradicated, and some hemangiomas will heal themselves before puberty. There are many types of hemangiomas and different sites of onset, but there are also many treatment options. Systemic oral medications, local medications including hormones, beta-blockers, and chemotherapeutic drugs, surgery or interventional treatment, and laser or cryotherapy can be used. Systemic oral propranolol is currently used as first-line treatment. Propranolol has been used clinically for more than a decade and is the main treatment modality for early detection of hemangioma in children, as it is not only effective but also has fewer side effects.
