What’s wrong with high granulocytes?

High granulocytes are commonly seen in bacterial infections, such as purulent tonsillitis, lobar pneumonia, and pyelonephritis, where high granulocytes can occur. In addition, in severe trauma, surgical trauma, and large burns, local ischemia, necrosis, and severe tissue damage can also result in significantly elevated white blood cells, especially granulocytes. Significantly elevated granulocytes can also be seen in cases of acute hemolysis, or when the body is bleeding profusely. It can also occur when the body is acutely toxic, such as diabetic ketoacidosis or uremic syndrome. In addition, high granulocytes can also occur in malignant tumors, such as granulocytic leukemia.
