How is glomerulonephritis treated?

The treatment of glomerulonephritis mainly includes: general treatment, drug therapy, renal replacement therapy and so on. 1. General treatment: if the patient has only simple hematuria or mild proteinuria, bed rest and low-salt diet in the acute stage, and wait for the disappearance of hematuria, the subsidence of edema and the return of blood pressure to normal. 2. Drug therapy: If there is elevated blood pressure, antihypertensive drugs such as captopril and valsartan can be used; diuretics such as furosemide can be used for obvious edema; hormonal drugs such as methylprednisolone or cytotoxic drugs such as cyclophosphamide can be used according to the type of the original disease if there is a large amount of proteinuria. 3. Renal replacement therapy: If patients have oliguria, anuria or severe renal insufficiency, renal replacement therapy such as hemodialysis can be used. Patients with glomerulonephritis should consult the nephrology department in time to clarify the cause of the disease and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.
