Will a soft red fleshy bump on the gums go away on its own?

There are many reasons for this condition and the clinical treatment should be tailored to the cause. Generally speaking, a soft red flesh packet on the gums is a gum abscess, usually caused by periodontitis or periapical inflammation. Although there is a possibility that the abscess will break down on its own and the abscess will temporarily subside, a recurrence may occur because the inflammation inside has not been effectively eradicated. If it is caused by periapical inflammation, in addition to the appearance of a gum abscess, there is often biting pain and throbbing pain. If it is caused by gingivitis, etc., it is often accompanied by bad breath, bright red gums that bleed easily, etc. If the gum abscess is large, the abscess needs to be incised and drained before the appropriate treatment. If the abscess is caused by periapical infection, root canal treatment is required. If it is caused by gingivitis, periodontal systemic treatment such as scaling and oral anti-inflammatory drugs are required according to medical prescription.
