If the lung nodule is caused by bacterial infection, usually amoxicillin needs to be taken for 7 to 10 days, the infection is basically controlled, but the absorption of the lung nodule may take more than a month. However, lung nodules are not necessarily caused by bacterial infection, such as tuberculosis infection, old foci, benign lung tumors or malignant tumors, etc., the above cases of taking amoxicillin treatment are ineffective. Amoxicillin belongs to the penicillin group of antibiotics, with anti-infective effect. In a few cases, tuberculosis may be caused by bacterial infection, which can be treated with amoxicillin, usually for 7 to 10 days. However, lung nodules take longer to absorb, usually more than 1 month, and antibiotics are usually not necessary to continue for 1 month. If the bacteria causing the lung nodules are resistant to amoxicillin, oral amoxicillin will not be effective, and treatment may be changed to oral moxifloxacin, azithromycin, or other antibiotics. Lung nodules may also be caused by specific infections such as tuberculosis, or non-infectious diseases such as benign and malignant tumors, and blind treatment with amoxicillin for anti-infections is not recommended for patients in the above cases.
