What to do when you get rid of dark spots

There may be two kinds of cases: temporary blackness and pigmentation, which can be improved by waiting for self-healing, topical medication and physical therapy. 1. Waiting for self-healing: For freckle and coffee spot patients, it is normal to see temporary darkening of facial skin after spot removal treatment with Q laser with wavelength of 532 and 1064. This temporary blackness is because the pigment particles broken by laser will be metabolized with epidermis, thus making the patients have temporary blackness, and these patients only need to wait for their self-healing, no special treatment is needed. 2. Topical medication: Inappropriate pigmentation treatment methods (e.g. carbon dioxide laser treatment for pigmentation, narrow-spectrum photon treatment for chloasma, etc.) not only can’t achieve the effect of removing pigmentation, but also may stimulate pigmentation, aggravate the original pigmentation, and cause the abnormal aggravation of the facial anti-blackness phenomenon. This kind of patients can apply hydroquinone cream, tretinoin cream, Tranexamic acid and other drugs to help alleviate the darkness. 3. Physical therapy: For patients with more serious aggravating symptoms, appropriate physical therapy can also be used to help relieve the phenomenon, e.g., patients with coffee spots and freckles can use Q laser and 570nm narrow-spectrum photon to help treat the anomalous black back. Chloasma patients who have abnormal anti-blackness can choose Q laser to help treatment, and pay attention not to choose narrow-spectrum photon, which may aggravate the pigmentation. It should be noted that in the process of the above treatment, patients should pay attention to strengthen the sun protection measures to avoid further re-darkening; in addition, the above treatment should be carried out under the guidance of physicians to avoid the occurrence of adverse reactions. The medication should be prescribed by the doctor.
