Gui Fu Di Huang Wan is a warming and tonifying medicine for kidney yang, and there is no conclusive evidence to suggest that long-term consumption of Gui Fu Di Huang Wan in high doses will cause numbness and soreness in the hands and feet.
Gui Fu Di Huang Wan is composed of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Cinnamomum Cassiae, Cortex Pinnatifida, Rhizoma Zedoariae, Poria, Chinese yam, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, and other medicines, and it can be used for the treatment of urinary incontinence (unruly urination) or frequent urination caused by the deficiency of Kidney-Yang, soreness of the waist and knees, and coughing and panting due to phlegm and drink (the pathologic products of the impaired metabolism of water and fluid).
The adverse reactions and contraindications of Gui Fu Di Huang Wan are not exact. Avoid indigestible food. It should not be taken by patients with cold and fever. During treatment, abstinence from sexual intercourse is advisable. Not suitable for people with Yin deficiency and internal heat. Contraindicated for those who are allergic to the product, and used with caution for those with allergies.
