Insulin growth factor is high, how to treat it

High insulin growth factor needs to be treated according to the relevant triggers, if it is caused by physiological factors, no special treatment is needed. If it is caused by pathologic factors, it needs to be treated by medication, surgery, radiotherapy and so on.
1. Physiological factors: if the child’s insulin growth factor is slightly elevated and there is no abnormality in height and weight, we cannot rule out the possibility that it may be caused by immaturity, so we suggest continuous observation and regular checkups, and there is no need for special treatment.
2. Pathological factors: If the patient receives MRI examination and is confirmed to be induced by pituitary growth hormone tumor, he needs to receive medication, such as bromocriptine, octreotide and cyproheptadine, etc., and he can also consider receiving radiation therapy or surgical treatment, so as to avoid affecting the health of the body.
Therefore, patients are advised to go to regular hospitals to receive further examination, and be guided by specialists to receive appropriate treatments according to the relevant examination results.
