Presbyopia is normal at age 40.
Presbyopia, or presbyopia, is mainly due to the gradual sclerosis of the lens caused by old age, the elasticity of the lens is weakened, the contraction force of the ciliary muscle is also weakened, and all of the above factors lead to the reduction of the regulatory effect. The patient’s vision is clear at a distance and blurred at close range.
As each person’s physical condition is different, the age at which the lens hardens and the ciliary muscle contraction strength weakens is also different, therefore, the age of onset of presbyopia is different, usually starting at the age of 40, and the symptoms of presbyopia will gradually worsen with age.
There is no clinical treatment for presbyopia, and most patients need to wear presbyopia glasses to help them read at close range.
