What is the skin of the fruit?

Green peel is the dried rind of the dried young fruit or immature fruit of the orange and its cultivated varieties in the Brassicaceae family.
It is bitter, pungent and warm in nature, and belongs to the liver, gallbladder and stomach meridians. It has the effects of dispersing the liver and breaking down qi (meaning that it is stronger in dispersing the liver and regulating qi), eliminating accumulation and resolving stagnation.
It can be used in treating liver depression and stagnation of qi, distension and pain in the chest and ribs, hernia pain, abdominal pain due to food accumulation (accumulation of food in the stomach due to indigestion), impediment in the abdomen (tangible or intangible lumps appearing in the abdomen, with a feeling of distension and pain), carbuncles in the breasts (redness, swelling and pain of the breasts, with milk not being discharged well, and ultimately forming a suppurative disease), and other diseases.
Pregnant women and those with Qi deficiency should be cautious in taking Qingpi. Qingpi should be used under the guidance of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner and should not be used blindly on its own to avoid causing adverse reactions or aggravating the condition.
