Moxibustion prevention of osteoarthritis of the knee joint

Osteoarthritis of the knee (degenerative knee disease) is a chronic joint disease characterized by degeneration of the cartilage and adjacent bones of the knee, eventually causing joint pain and stiffness. Osteoarthritis of the knee is caused by overuse or injury to the knee joint, and the ligaments that surround the joint and keep it stable become loose, making the knee joint unstable and causing severe pain when the joint is touched or moved. Osteoarthritis of the knee is a common joint disorder that can affect people differently up to the age of 70, with the incidence being about the same in men and women, but earlier in men. Pain is the first symptom and can be exacerbated by exercise. Some people feel stiffness in their joints when they wake up from sleep or after being at rest for a long time, but the stiffness gradually disappears within 30 minutes after moving the joints. After years of clinical experience in treatment and prevention by a professor, it is found that drugs are secondary in treatment, while moxibustion has an irreplaceable role in relieving the condition and improving the quality of life. Moxibustion for 15-30 minutes daily or every other day can significantly improve joint pain and stiffness.
