Can you have pelvic fluid with HPV infection?

Normally, simple HPV (human papillomavirus) infection does not cause uterine fluid. If the virus persists, it can cause cervical lesions, which can lead to cervicitis, cervical cancer, and possibly pelvic fluid.

After infection with HPV, most women do not have any symptoms and can only be detected during a gynecological examination. Some women may even have lifelong infection without clinical symptoms. Some women may also develop cervical lesions, such as cervicitis, or even cervical cancer, which in turn may complicate pelvic effusion.

Apart from that, pelvic fluid may also be related to other factors such as menstrual backflow, constipation, pelvic inflammatory disease and endometriosis.

For patients who develop pelvic fluid after HPV infection, they should seek medical examination as soon as possible.
