Shaking of the hands when holding something is clinically known as intentional tremor and is a common symptom of idiopathic tremor. Idiopathic tremor is an extrapyramidal disorder that runs in most families, with a few disseminated cases. This disease is mostly seen in middle-aged and elderly people, with involuntary shaking of hands or movement as the main clinical manifestation, which may be accompanied by head tremor, tremor amplitude is large, the tremor can disappear when it is still, and the tremor can be alleviated after drinking alcohol. These patients usually do not have increased muscle tone and bradykinesia, which can be differentiated from Parkinson’s disease. Treatment is mainly based on beta-blockers, commonly used drugs are Aroclor Hydrochloride and Propranolol Hydrochloride, about 30% of patients can get relief from the tremor. Idiopathic tremor is generally difficult to cure, and the symptoms can gradually worsen with age, but generally does not affect the normal life expectancy of patients.
