Normal range of body temperature in young children

The normal body temperature for young children is between 36-37.5°C. Between 37.5-38.5°C, it is in the low fever range. Above 38.5°C, it is in the high fever range. When taking the temperature of a toddler, it is usually the axillary temperature that is taken. To take the axillary temperature, there is a slightly higher condition, which is to be in a relatively quiet state. If the child cries vigorously, has just eaten milk, has eaten a meal, or is sweating after strenuous activity, or has more sweat under the armpit, this will affect the accuracy of the axillary temperature. If the child is not particularly cooperative, another method is to take the ear temperature. Using an ear temperature gun to take your child’s temperature is also a relatively accurate method.
