A lumbar disc herniation cannot heal itself by doing work.
In patients with lumbar disc herniation, the annulus fibrosus of the intervertebral disc is broken due to the accumulation of degeneration and strain, and the herniated nucleus pulposus presses on the nerve root, resulting in pain, numbness, weakness, abnormal sensation, and other symptoms in the corresponding innervated area. Work cannot reverse annulus fibrosus breakage and herniated nucleus pulposus, so it is not possible to heal oneself through work.
High-intensity bending and strenuous activities will aggravate the accumulation of strain and accelerate the degeneration, which will aggravate the lumbar disc herniation, stimulate the compressed nerve roots, and cause the symptoms to worsen and the condition to progress.
It is recommended that the patient go to a regular hospital, complete the relevant imaging tests, and under the guidance of the doctor’s treatment and rehabilitation training.
