Nasopharyngeal carcinoma T4N2M0 belongs to several stages

T4 indicates that the nasopharyngeal carcinoma has invaded into the skull, with destruction of cranial nerves, invasion of sinuses, external pterygoid muscles and masticatory muscles, invasion of cavernous sinuses, meninges and other related parts of the skull. N2 indicates bilateral lymph node metastasis, or lymph node metastasis with a diameter greater than 3 cm, or possible lymph node envelope invasion. M0 indicates no distant lymph node metastasis, that is, no lymph node metastasis in the lungs, head, bones, etc. The above three points suggest that this kind of nasopharyngeal carcinoma belongs to stage IV nasopharyngeal carcinoma, which is an advanced stage of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
