Yinlingquan point is located on the medial side of the lower leg, in the depression between the medial edge of the tibia and the lower edge of the medial tibial condyle. Yinlingquan point belongs to the foot-taiyin spleen meridian and is a conjunction point. This point is used to treat jaundice, abdominal distension, edema, diarrhea, dysuria (unsmooth urination), urinary incontinence, enuresis, spermatorrhea, dysmenorrhea, pain in the pubic area, and knee pain. Yinlingquan point is often paired with other points, such as with Yanglingquan, Gallbladder Yu and Zhiyang to treat jaundice. Among the points, Yanglingquan and Gallbladder Yu can regulate the biliary organs, Yinlingquan strengthens the spleen and induces dampness, and Zhiyang is an experienced point for treating jaundice, which is used to dissolve dampness and induces bile to relieve jaundice (dredge the evil qi of the biliary tract to eliminate jaundice). Note that acupuncture treatment needs to be operated by a professional acupuncturist, and should not be operated blindly by oneself to avoid causing injury.
