How old is a child to walk?

The vast majority of children walk more steadily at about one and a half years of age. The age at which a child can walk depends on the child’s neurological development and the amount of exercise he or she receives. Generally speaking, children with good motor development and timely exercise walk earlier. Most children can walk briefly with the help of external force after nine to ten months, and after a period of exercise, they can walk alone at about one year old, and at one and a half years old, they can walk for a certain distance in a more stable manner. Elders usually need to train children to walk, but learning to walk should not be too early, especially before ten months too long standing, very easy to lead to the deformation of the child’s lower limb bones. Ten months to start walking, but also need to be gradual, the initial time should not be too long, so as not to cause discomfort to the child. Parents should actively guide the child when training him/her to walk and should not scold or blame him/her. If the child’s walking time is particularly late, or the gait is abnormal, take the child to the doctor to find the cause.
