Prevention and management of mastitis during lactation

How to prevent it? First of all, learn how to use the correct technique to empty the remaining milk after breastfeeding. Many new mothers often rely on breast pumps, but of course, if the ducts are open, the pump can solve the problem, but in case the milk is not easily discharged, learn local breast massage, first unclog the nipples, after the milk overflow from the nipples is visible, evenly drain the milk, popping and massaging the lumps, paying attention to the direction along the ducts. Secondly, for women who have too much milk, pay attention to the timely milk extrusion when the milk rises to relieve breast distension, once the blockage is too long it is not easy to discharge, and over time it is easy to induce mastitis; finally, pay attention to the cold during lactation is often complicated by mastitis, sudden lumps in the breast, pain, milk can not be extruded, so you should pay attention to warmth during lactation to prevent colds.
