Bladder on the left or right

The bladder is neither to the left nor to the right; it is positioned just behind the pubic symphysis in the midline. When the bladder is empty, the entire bladder is located completely within the pelvic cavity and as the bladder fills with urine, it expands forward and upward and the bulging bladder can be palpated in the abdomen. The normal human bladder is divided into 4 parts: the bottom, the body, the tip and the neck. The base of the bladder is usually triangular in shape facing downward toward the posterior. In women, the base of the bladder abuts the anterior wall of the vagina, while in men, the upper part of the bladder base is separated by the rectal bladder sink, and the lower part has the seminal vesicle gland and ejaculatory duct pot belly adjacent to the rectum. The tip of the bladder faces the upper part of the pubic symphysis. The body of the bladder generally has the bladder tip at the anterior corner and the ureter entering the bladder at the two posterior corners, with the lateral umbilical ligaments on both edges. The lowest positioned bladder neck is located 3-4 cm posterior to the lower part of the pubic symphysis and is also the most fixed part, located slightly above the level of the lower pelvic opening.
