What causes small bumps on the inside of the neck

Small bumps on the inside of the neck may be caused by enlarged cervical lymph nodes, thyroid nodules, cervical cellulitis, laryngeal cancer and so on. 1. Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck: periodontitis, tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis and other infections involving lymph nodes in the neck lead to inflammatory enlargement of lymph nodes in the neck; lung cancer, breast cancer, stomach cancer, lymphoma and other cancers lead to cancerous enlargement of lymph nodes in the neck, which may lead to small bumps on the inside of the neck. 2. Thyroid nodules: the thyroid gland is located below the thyroid cartilage, on both sides of the trachea. In cases such as hyperthyroidism, papillary thyroid tumor, and thyroid cancer, thyroid cells may grow benignly or malignantly, resulting in nodules in the thyroid gland, and thus small bumps on the inside of the neck. 3. Neck cellulitis: the subcutaneous connective tissue in the neck is infected with suppurative infection, which leads to the formation of local pus cavity, and thus small bumps grow on the inside of the neck. 4. Laryngeal cancer: local infiltration and invasion of cancer cells lead to tissue hyperplasia in the throat area, resulting in small bumps on the inside of the neck. Small bumps on the inside of the neck may be related to many factors, so it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible for a clear diagnosis.
