In general, umbilical ureteric fistulae in adults are more often treated with open surgery and less often with minimally invasive surgery. Umbilical ureteric fistula is a congenital malformation caused by incomplete atresia of the umbilical ureter during embryonic development, and its etiology is unknown. Clinically, the disease is relatively rare, and most often seen in children, its main clinical manifestation is the umbilicus at the urine discharge, caused by the patient’s umbilical skin moist unclean. For the treatment of adults suffering from umbilical ureteric fistula, the current clinical choice of open surgery, because of its better results, but also can choose minimally invasive surgery, depending on the different conditions, choose different surgical methods. Patients with these conditions should seek prompt medical attention and early treatment.
