The incidence of pediatric prepuce has been increasing year by year, and the incidence of pediatric prepuce is found to be 40% in the physical examination of young children;. This problem has not yet attracted the general attention of experts and scholars and parents. Parents usually pay little attention to the normal development of the boy’s genitalia, and children are unwilling to let others examine them when they are older, so that prepuce has been neglected, and even believe that prepuce can heal itself and is not harmful. Diagnosis and treatment are often delayed. The foreskin of infants and young children is generally long, the skin mouth is small, with the growth of epithelial tissue gradually absorbed, so that the inner plate of the foreskin and glans are separated and the head of the penis develops faster than the foreskin, coupled with the regular expansion of the penis erection pulling and expansion of the outer foreskin mouth, so that the foreskin to the crown of the penis head retreat, the foreskin mouth expanded, the head of the penis half exposed or fully exposed. This is a normal development process. However, if the head of the penis fails to expand enough, or if the foreskin adheres to the glans, or if repeated circumcision causes the foreskin mouth to thicken and narrow, this can lead to the foreskin not being turned upward and the glans not being exposed. Congenital prepuce due to foreskin tightly wrapped penis head, penis head dysplasia may cause penile erection pain, if the foreskin mouth serious isthmus narrow. It is even pinhole-shaped, which can cause difficulty in urination, high pressure in the bladder, urine to the ureter, kidney reflux, which can lead to damage to the kidney in the long term. When urinating, urine enters the foreskin cavity first, causing the foreskin to expand, which is known as the second bladder. A few of the more serious patients can cause chronic urinary retention, hydronephrosis, pyelonephritis, etc. in the long term. It can also lead to prolapse and ventral dog hernia due to difficulty in urination. Over the past few years, we have used balloon expansion therapy to treat nearly 10,000 cases of pediatric prepuce, with a success rate of 99.6%; compared to traditional circumcision, balloon catheter expansion therapy is very easy to complete in a few minutes, with little pain, no hospitalization, no surgery, no bleeding, and no after-effects. It is easy to be accepted by parents and children because it is easy to move around and hardly affects their lives and studies. In order to promote the healthy growth of children, on the basis of clinical treatment, scientific research will be conducted, focusing on health economics, ease of surgery, and the degree of compliance of children with traditional circumcision, so as to develop a standardized diagnosis and treatment plan and promote its application in a wider scope.
