Mild tricuspid regurgitation clinically usually has no obvious symptoms and harm; long-term moderate-to-severe tricuspid regurgitation because of the stagnation of the body circulation and the right heart low displacement, the patient develops edema, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, respiratory difficulties and other symptoms, which jeopardize the patient’s quality of life and life expectancy. 1. Mild tricuspid regurgitation has no obvious clinical symptoms or harm, and usually does not require treatment, but only dynamic observation. 2. Long-term moderate-to-severe tricuspid regurgitation jeopardizes patients’ quality of life and life expectancy because of circulatory stasis and low right heart output and the emergence of gastrointestinal, cardiopulmonary and other symptoms. (1) Body circulation stasis: ① gastrointestinal stasis can cause loss of appetite, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, constipation and epigastric pain symptoms. ② Hepatic stasis is enlarged, with pain in the liver area and fullness and discomfort in the right upper abdomen. (iii) Renal bruising causes symptoms of renal hypoplasia such as low daytime urination, increased nocturia, and small amount of proteinuria. (iv) Throbbing sensation in the neck, jugular vein raging and double lower limb edema. (2) Right heart hypoventilation: the patient’s skin is cold and wet, edema, dyspnea, fatigue and other symptoms. If there is a problem of tricuspid regurgitation, patients are advised to go to the hospital for further consultation and treatment according to medical advice.
