Cognitive impairment can be graded according to the Cognitive Assessment Scale. The MMSE Scale (Simple Mental State Examination Scale) is commonly used to score the patient’s orientation, memory, attention, and computation, which in turn evaluates the patient’s cognitive function. The maximum score for cognitive dysfunction evaluation is 30, and if the score reaches 27-30, it is considered normal; if the score is less than 27, it is considered to have cognitive dysfunction. Severity of dementia: mild should be greater than or equal to 21 points; moderate should be 10~20 points; severe dementia should be less than or equal to 9 points. Classification of dementia: illiteracy should be less than or equal to 17 points; primary education should be less than or equal to 20 points; secondary or middle school education should be less than or equal to 22 points; university including specialties should be less than or equal to 23 points. People suffering from cognitive dysfunction should go to the hospital as early as possible and be treated under the guidance of a doctor’s interview.
