What to do if you have a needle eye

Needle eye, also known as mydriasis, is a bacterial, infectious inflammation of the lid gland. The usual cause is an infection of Staphylococcus aureus, or other positive cocci, which causes redness and tenderness in the eye, or painful blinking. Since the eye is a bacterial infection, antibacterial medication is needed, commonly levofloxacin ophthalmic solution or Tobex ophthalmic solution, used 4-6 times a day. The ointment should be applied to the white of the eye 2-3 times a day. If the redness gradually subsides, you can apply hot compresses twice a day for 5-10 minutes to promote the absorption of pus. If the redness increases and pus forms on the surface of the eyelid, it is necessary to go to the hospital for incision and drainage to drain the pus, which will accelerate the improvement of mydriasis.
