The following acupuncture points are available for the clinical treatment of pharyngitis: 1. Shaoshang point, on the radial side of the end thumb of the hand, 0.1 inch from the corner of the nail, which is helpful in relieving the patient’s sore throat, etc. 2. Yuzhi point, in the depression behind the end thumb of the hand, which is helpful for the patient’s pharyngitis, cough, hoarseness, etc. 3. Hegu point, on the back of the hand between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, and the middle junction of the 2nd metacarpal bone, which is helpful for the patient’s sore throat, etc. 4. It is helpful for patients with sore throat and so on. 4. Li Gu point, located on the radial edge of the arm near the top of the radial eminence, is helpful for patients with sore throat, dry cough, and foreign body sensation in the throat. 5. Tian Tu point, located on the front midline of the neck in the upper sternal fossa, is helpful for patients with cough, sore throat, foreign body sensation in the throat, and so on. 6. The point is located in the depression below the tip of the inner ankle of the foot, which is helpful in relieving the patient’s dry throat and foreign body sensation in the throat.
