Dietary contraindications for urticaria

Patients with urticaria should first seek medical advice from a medical professional to determine if the onset of the disease is related to a food allergy and to promptly abstain from eating the appropriate food. If the food that triggers hives cannot be identified, avoid seafood such as fish, shrimp, crab and scallops; avoid food additives such as preservatives and colour additives; try not to drink fruit wine, wine, beer, liquor or other alcoholic beverages during the onset of the disease; and avoid spicy and stimulating foods that may have a negative impact on the disease.
It is important to note that dietary care is part of disease control but cannot completely replace other treatments. If you are unwell in your daily life, it is advisable to actively seek medical advice and your doctor will formulate an appropriate treatment plan and give you reasonable dietary advice according to your actual condition.
