How long can a virus live in the air?

The survival time of different viruses in the air is not the same. Common viruses include the new coronavirus, hepatitis A virus, hepatitis B virus, rotavirus, hand-foot-mouth virus, and so on.
1. New Coronavirus: New Coronavirus can only survive for 2 hours in dry air under sunlight condition, but it can survive for about 5 days at 25°C and 40% humidity.
2. Hepatitis A virus: it can cause hepatitis A. It is more resistant to the outside world, acid and alkali resistant, and can survive for 1 week at room temperature.
3. Hepatitis B virus: it can cause hepatitis B. It can survive for 7 days at 37°C and is resistant to dryness, low temperature, heat and ultraviolet light.
4. Infant rotavirus: can cause viral infectious diarrhea and can survive for 7 months at room temperature.
5. Measles virus: can cause measles, can survive in the body for several days, but in vitro resistance is weak, room temperature 2 hours after the loss of activity.
6. Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease Virus: can cause hand, foot and mouth disease, can survive for several days at room temperature. It can survive for several months in sewage and feces and has a strong resistance to the external environment.
Even beyond the survival time of the virus, there may still be residual virus in the air, so good hygiene and disinfection should be done in general. If infection occurs, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible for treatment.
