Dermal warts are benign skin growths that do not cause malignant reactions but are abnormal manifestations, especially for young people. In clinical practice, aggressive treatment is needed, either by freezing or by iontophoresis to dislodge the hyperplastic warts. It is also possible to use carbon dioxide laser cautery, which is the same principle. During these treatments, topical fusidic acid ointment should be applied every other day or changed with iodophor in order to prevent the corresponding infection. In case of crusting, do not pick the crust with your hands to avoid unnecessary infections. Avoid alcohol and spicy food during the treatment period.
