How long does it take to walk normally with a fractured tibia and fibula with a plate removed?

Tibial fibula fracture plate removal can walk appropriately on the first day after surgery; normal walking activities can be resumed 1 month after surgery. The plate removal of tibiofibular fracture is usually taken out when the fracture is well healed, mostly 1 year after the operation, so the bone condition of the original fracture site basically reaches the hardness of its own bone. Therefore, on the 1st postoperative day, one can walk appropriately on the ground, but at that stage, due to the loss of plate fixation support and the presence of the nail channel, it does not have the strength to resist rotation. At 1 month after surgery, the incision of the secondary surgery has been removed, and the soft tissue around the nail channel is tightly wrapped and gradually calcified and closed, normal walking activities can be resumed in this period, but it is still not recommended to do some strenuous exercise.
