What to do if your throat is swollen and you have trouble breathing due to allergies

Difficulty in breathing due to allergic causes of throat swelling is mostly due to the occurrence of allergic pharyngitis, commonly used treatments include general treatment, drug treatment and surgical treatment.
1. General treatment: avoid further contact with allergens, maintain indoor relative humidity, open windows and ventilation, reduce the concentration of pathogenic bacteria and dust in the house.
2. Drug treatment: Commonly used drugs include antihistamines such as levocetirizine; glucocorticosteroids such as beclomethasone propionate; and leukotriene receptor antagonists such as montelukast.
3. Surgical treatment: If the effect of drug treatment is not good or the condition is serious, tracheotomy should be performed immediately, which can quickly relieve the symptoms caused by hypoxia.
