Who is H. pylori removal for?

        According to the nature and pathogenic characteristics of H. pylori (HP), generally speaking, the following people should be cleared of HP in a timely manner: (1) Peptic ulcer and atrophic gastritis patients.  (2) Immediate family members with gastric cancer.  (3) Those who have been taking acid-suppressing drugs for more than one year or planned to do so.  (4) Those who have high risk factors for gastric cancer (heavy smoking, long-term exposure to dust).  (5) Patients with gastric disease who live in areas with high incidence of gastric cancer.  (6) Those who are positive for H. pylori and worried about the occurrence of gastric cancer.
