It is wrong to say that sperm has a bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect. The only role of semen and sperm is to carry the genetic information of the male to the mother. The claim that sperm has a bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effect is very unscientific and stems from a medical statistic done years ago that women who have regular sex have a relatively lower chance of vaginitis compared to women who do not have sex and that male semen can eliminate vaginitis, which is a very hasty conclusion that lacks scientific basis. It was later confirmed that only the semen of healthy men can improve the vaginal environment of women and inhibit the growth of mycobacteria and other harmful bacteria, but this effect is minimal and not comparable to the bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects of anti-inflammatory drugs and antibiotics in the traditional sense. In general, semen contains only proteins, amino acids, enzymes and sperm, and has no clear therapeutic or preventive effect on vaginitis.
