It is recommended not to have intercourse for 3-7 days after menstruation, and to have a normal leucorrhoea, blood count and clotting time. The clinical diagnosis is based on pathology. If the pathological diagnosis is negative, regular review is recommended to detect any abnormalities. If the pathology report is positive, different treatments will be given according to the results, such as local physical therapy, including laser treatment and cryotherapy, for low-grade lesions. If the lesion is of high grade, it can be treated clinically with a laparotomy.
