What to do if you still feel short of breath two months after lung surgery

Feeling shortness of breath even two months after lung surgery requires continuous gradual and appropriate exercise.
If total lung resection or lobectomy is performed, there is bound to be a corresponding degree of reduction and loss in the patient’s lung function after surgery compared to before surgery. Inappropriate postoperative exercise may cause symptoms such as chest tightness and shortness of breath.
It is recommended that appropriate walking, walking, radio exercises, loud coughing, loud talking and singing can increase lung capacity and allow other alveoli to expand further to fill the remaining space in the chest cavity after the lobes are removed. Special coughing exercises and bedside respiratory exercises, such as deep breathing, can help promote the recovery of respiratory muscle strength.
Generally, a light diet is the main diet, and appropriate supplementation of nutrients, such as foods rich in a variety of vitamins, minerals, high-quality protein, such as milk, soy milk, eggs, seafood, vegetables, fruits and so on.
If patients feel shortness of breath is serious, they should consult a doctor to clarify the cause and give targeted treatment.
