How to treat baby eczema

Baby eczema, i.e. infantile eczema, should be treated with general treatment and medication. 1. General treatment: Parents need to dress their children in loose, cotton clothing, avoiding woolen sweaters and other allergy-inducing clothing. At the same time, the child should be bathed in water of the right temperature, avoiding the use of soap, which may lead to dry skin. After bathing, apply an emollient to the child’s skin. 2. Medication: Topical glucocorticosteroids are the first line of medication for the treatment of eczema in infants, commonly used as Denuded and Hydrocortisone creams, which provide anti-inflammatory effects. Calcium-modulated phosphatase inhibitors such as pimecrolimus and tacrolimus can also be applied when necessary. If your baby suffers from eczema, you should take him/her to the doctor for examination and standardize the use of medication under the doctor’s guidance.
