Blisters on the upper lip, i.e., the blisters seen clinically, may be a skin condition such as herpes simplex, labial infection, or contact dermatitis. Antiviral, anti-infectious and anti-allergic treatments can be given. 1. Herpes simplex. It manifests as clustered blisters with burning pain. Oral antiviral drugs such as famciclovir or valacyclovir can be taken, and topical application of penciclovir gel or acyclovir ointment can be used. 2. Lipitis. It may be caused by bacteria and other pathogens, manifested as small papules, blisters, accompanied by pain. It can be treated with localized medications such as fusidic acid cream. 3.
