Qing Bianxia is warm in nature, pungent in flavor, and belongs to the spleen, stomach and lung meridians. It has the basic efficacy of drying dampness and resolving phlegm (removing phlegm from the body with dampness-drying drugs), and is suitable for coughing with damp phlegm, coagulation of phlegm and saliva, inability to cluck and vomit, and gastro-epigastric plumpness (stomach distension and discomfort). The adverse reactions and contraindications of Qing Han Xia are not clear. It should not be used with Chuanwu, Caowu, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Prepared Chuanwu, Prepared Caowu. Poria is flat in nature, sweet and bland in flavor, and is attributed to the heart, spleen, lung and kidney meridians. It has the basic effects of inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the flow of water to dispel dampness), strengthening the spleen and tranquilizing the heart. It is suitable for edema, dysuria (unsmooth urination), diarrhea due to spleen deficiency (diarrhea caused by weak spleen function), poor appetite and tiredness, palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic) and insomnia. The adverse reactions and contraindications of Poria are not known.
