What’s wrong with numbness in the tips of the fingers?

Numbness of fingertips may be due to local ischemia, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, cervical spondylosis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other causes.
1. Local ischemia: prolonged compression of the upper limbs may lead to brachial artery, radial artery and other blood vessels are compressed, the tip of the finger numbness due to insufficient blood supply.
2. Diabetic peripheral neuropathy: diabetic patients with poor glycemic control, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vasculopathy and other long-term complications after a long period of time, involving the ulnar-radial nerve innervating fingertips, median nerve numbness occurs when the fingertips.
3. Cervical spondylosis: the proliferation of vertebrae and intervertebral discs in cervical radiculopathy compresses and stimulates the cervical nerve roots, resulting in abnormal sensation of the distal fingertips and symptoms such as numbness and pain in the fingertips.
4. Carpal tunnel syndrome: Trauma and other factors lead to increased pressure outside the carpal tunnel, inflammation in the carpal tunnel and other factors lead to narrowing of the carpal tunnel, these factors cause the median nerve in the carpal tunnel to be compressed and dysfunctional, resulting in numbness of the fingertips.
