Do medications for prostate cysts work?

Prostate cysts do not require intervention if they are asymptomatic, and those that are symptomatic can be managed surgically, and there is no evidence that oral medications have a therapeutic effect on prostate cysts.
Prostate cysts are cystic lesions caused by blockage of the ducts of the prostate gland and are benign. Generally, small prostate cysts have no obvious symptoms and are often found during examinations and may not require treatment.
Larger prostate cysts may cause urinary frequency and urgency due to compression of the urethra, and in severe cases, may cause urinary retention; or press the rectum in a backward direction to cause dyspareunia. Surgical intervention is required in such cases to relieve the compression.
Currently, there is no international or national expert consensus or guidelines for prostate cysts that require management. There is no evidence that drug therapy is effective.
Warm tips: for asymptomatic prostate cysts, there is no need to be overly nervous, you can follow up regularly, discomfort timely consultation.
