How to boil plantain in water

Psyllium should be soaked, then water should be added and decocted twice over a hot flame. For plantain, soak it for 30 to 60 minutes, then place it in a casserole or wok and add water for the first time in an amount that is above the surface of the herb. The second time you add water, the amount of water is one-third to one-half of the first. The two decoctions are mixed and taken after removing the dregs and filtering. Because it belongs to the category of heat-clearing medicine, it should be decocted with martial arts fire, and the time should be short, and it can be boiled for 3 to 5 minutes. Plantain, sweet in flavor and cold in nature, has the effect of clearing heat and diuresis, cooling the blood and detoxifying the toxin (referring to the treatment of blood-heat and toxicity). It can be used to treat heat knotting in the bladder, dysuria (unsmooth urination), gonorrhea (cloudy urine and leukorrhea), summer-dampness diarrhea and dysentery, epistaxis, blood in urine, sore throat, carbuncle, swelling, and sores. Note that it is contraindicated in cases of deficiency and slippery essence. The drug should be used under the guidance of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner and should not be taken on its own to avoid risks.
