Since most hospitals have better reporting systems nowadays, the ultrasonographer can record data and store images while performing the examination, so in most cases, the report is available immediately after the examination. If there is any abnormality in the fetus, the images need to be pulled out and repeatedly considered before issuing a more complete diagnosis, and sometimes a consultation is required, which may take longer. However, in most cases, a report can be issued on the same day. In general, a diagnosis can be made within half an hour for outpatient ultrasound and within 24 hours for inpatient units.
