Half of the end tooth is wrapped with meat, which is mostly considered to be caused by the blocked tooth. If there is no obvious symptom, it can be observed and handled; if there is any uncomfortable symptom, it can be treated with medication or surgery.
Teeth that are partially erupted or completely unable to erupt due to the obstruction of neighboring teeth, bone or soft tissues are known as primary teeth. The teeth most likely to be blocked are the mandibular third molars, commonly known as wisdom teeth. When the blocked tooth does not cause any clinical symptoms, it can be observed and no special treatment is needed.
When the blocked tooth causes caries and infection in the neighboring teeth, resulting in toothache, gingival pain, oral odor and other symptoms, medication or surgical treatment is feasible. Commonly used local medications include compound chlorhexidine rinse and hydrogen peroxide solution, which can relieve local inflammation. When infection is present, antibiotics such as cefoperazone and metronidazole can be used for treatment.
When symptoms recur and conservative treatment has no obvious effect, surgical treatment is feasible, and commonly used surgical procedures include gingivectomy, tooth extraction and so on. The specific treatment method has individual differences, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s prescription medication, standardized treatment.
