Can glucose be used instead of white sugar

Glucose should not be used as a substitute for white sugar. White sugar is a disaccharide and glucose is a monosaccharide, they are two different kinds of sugar. Usually white sugar is broken down into monosaccharides before it can be absorbed by the body, but glucose can be directly absorbed by cell tissues. Therefore, when a diabetic patient experiences hypoglycemia, glucose is preferred. Because glucose can be directly absorbed by the tissue cells, rapidly raise blood sugar, reduce the symptoms of hypoglycemia. However, if glucose replaces sugar for a long time, the enzyme bisaccharidase (the enzyme that breaks down disaccharide into monosaccharide) in the gastrointestinal tract is useless, and the function of the gastrointestinal tract lacks the necessary exercise, which will make the digestive function weaken over time.
