Four incisors were lost and several roots were implanted.

When four incisors are lost, two to four roots are usually needed, depending on the patient’s age, personal needs, alveolar bone condition and other factors.
1. Patient’s age: generally young patients who have lost four incisors, taking into account the aesthetics of the incisors as well as the cutting performance, it is recommended to implant four roots to maximize the restoration of the normal occlusal function of the incisors as well as aesthetics; and for the elderly patients who are older than 60 years of age and have lost four incisors, they can consider implanting two to three roots.
2. Individual demand: If the patient is missing 4 incisors, only require restoration of the chewing function of the incisors, may consider implanting 2 roots and then designing a porcelain bridge program for restoration; if the patient’s personal expectations for the chewing function, as well as aesthetics, prognosis, etc. are relatively high, it is recommended that the best implantation of 4 roots, to be able to maximize the restoration of the alveolar bone abundance.
3. Alveolar bone conditions: generally 4 incisors are missing in most cases due to severe periodontitis leading to widespread tooth loss, in this case the alveolar bone stimulated by inflammation will appear different degrees of resorption, dental implants need to take into account the alveolar bone to withstand the ability to restore the general recommendation of implanting 2 to 3 roots; if the incisors are traumatized by the loss of the alveolar bone recovery is good, you can consider planting up to 4 roots.
