Is a person with hepatitis B virus a hepatitis B patient?

Hepatitis B carriers and hepatitis B patients are two different concepts. Hepatitis B carriers are those who carry the hepatitis B virus in their bodies, but their liver functions are normal, mainly because our immune system is in a balanced state with the virus. A hepatitis B carrier is a person who carries the hepatitis B virus in combination with abnormal liver function, i.e., an inflammatory response in the liver. These two conditions are interchangeable and are not static. A healthy carrier of hepatitis B may break the immune balance and develop liver function abnormalities and become a hepatitis B patient after certain circumstances such as exertion, alcohol consumption, late nights, or strenuous exercise. After timely treatment, the liver function can be restored to normal and the hepatitis B patient can be transformed into a healthy hepatitis B carrier.
